Socialising is one of the main features of Second Life and our
venues provide an elegant setting to do exactly that, socialise….
We know it can be somewhat daunting though, this socialising
business in SL. The hanging around
waiting for someone to speak to you, can be tiresome and makes you feel a bit
like a cow at a cattle market. But when
someone eventually chat’s to you and then asks you to dance, it makes it all
worthwhile. Obviously you won’t make a
significant connection with everyone you dance with, but when you do there is
nothing more gratifying.
Dancing and romance go hand in hand, firstly there is the
flow of conversation. Be a good
conversationalist. There is a natural lead and follow in
conversation, much like in dancing. Be open to your partner's thoughts and
ideas, it’s all about bonding after all. Dancing
enhances your non-verbal communication with each other. The harmony achieved on
the dance floor is a skill that will transcend into your budding relationship.
Think about it, when two people start out in a relationship
it is almost as if they are dance partners. Both play their own part in
maintaining the movement and groove through the tempo of the dance which
translates into the relationship as a whole. Moving rhythmically to beautiful music together is a turn-on that’s
hard to resist.
Dancing and romantic relationships both engage a full range
of emotion. There’s desire and love expressed in a
rumba, playfulness in a cha-cha, anger and passion in a tango, something a
little sad or wistful in the music of a waltz, a breezy confidence in the fox-trot,
zaniness in a quickstep and even the extremes of dominance and submission in a Paso
doble. The highs and lows of romantic relationships are no different, as each
new dance movement brings with it a different emotion and experience between
partners.
Once you start
grooving to the sultry beats, the chances are you will be consumed by passion
for your partner. The electricity that is ignited on the dance floor could
spark into a relationship. The passion that you feel for your partner when
dancing will set fire to your souls and bring with it that special chemistry
that makes connections in Second Life so magical.
However, it is not just the dancing that will make your love
life more enriched but it does facilitate a deeper connection which will prove
to be extremely beneficial for your relationship.
Ultimately, dancing
together is about establishing a connection and a strong sense of partnership. It’s
about working in harmony towards building something that is enriching not only
for your relationship but for you as a whole. It should make you want to be a
better partner and become an infallible couple.
It’s time to come
